-
SIDES AND LYRIC NOTE: Absolutely encouraging you to make choices and be specific, but the choices should be grounded and honest, not caricature. The more human and heartfelt, the better. This is not a retelling of the story, it's more of a re-living of what happened. Connect, communicate and enjoy!
-
WEEK OF JUNE 23rd-IMPORTANT AUDITION INFO:
-
NOTES:
-
This is a RE-LIVING as opposed to a retelling.
-
Direct Address to Audience: Think of this as a conversation with a friend as opposed to a presentational address to an audience of 100's.
-
This is a play with music as opposed to a traditional musical. Take any/all musical theatre elements out (NO VIBRATO, presentational/performance qualities, etc.)
-
6/26 FINAL CALLBACK: With the busy and full audition schedule ahead, final callback invites will be shared asap. We will do everything we can to get you information and please let us know if you have any conflicts with 6/26.
-
-
Accents are not needed for the auditions. We will be working with a dialect coach who will set everyone up for success. If someone has an accent they want to show, they are welcomes but 100% not needed.
-
Please use the PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT recordings when you prep for all auditions. Thank you!
-
MOVEMENT AUDITION: I want our actors to make as few trips to La Mirada as possible, so I have gotten Ricky’s approval to accept video audition OR live audition for the Movement call. If/when all goes well after the initial audition, the choice will be yours to either attend live (Wednesday, 6/25 at 5pm for an hour) or video tape (check back here next week for Dropbox file). Whatever is most convenient for you! Feel free to tape and send ahead of time. Please send via email Julia@Florescasting.com. and Team@Florescasting.com . Dropbox is the easiest for us, but youtube link is okay.
