FAQ/UPDATES:

All updates will be posted here. The newest information will be listed at the top. We will also date and time any new details so that you know you have the most current information.

  • 1/12 12:05pm

    • Please use your best judgement in regards to stops and starts on sides. Most choices are pretty obvious. Remember that these are just initial videos and we will ask you to make any changes necessary if/when it comes time to callbacks. No worries!

    • Slates are not required, but you can include one if you'd like to (it is helpful to have age and height for the children). We have many videos to get through so keeping it brief is a good plan though. Thank you!

    • Liesl side with Maria and the children is the one line only on page 25.

  • 1/10: 12:12pm

    • Female Identifying/NonBinary Ensemble: Read the role of Sofia on page 10 (not the song though).

    • Upload audition video to Eco Cast in separate links or all in one (whatever is easiest for you).

  • 1/6: 9:10pm

    • Female Identifying/NonBinary Ensemble: For the sides, please choose whichever role you'd like to read. Honestly, the vocals are our primary focus. This scene just gives us an idea re: your acting choices in this world.

  • 1/6: 11:30am

    • Our Rolf from the 2019 cast will be returning, so we are no longer casting the role of Rolf. My thanks to all who submitted.

  • 1/5: 10:35am

    • As stated below, the children will have an amended schedule (see below Rehearsals and Performance Schedule) and will receive a thank you stipend of $550 flat.

  • 1/4 12:50pm

    • Audition accompaniment recordings (to use instead of tracks) are posted below (see Audition Video section)

    • If interested, you can send video for more than one role. Just include it with your audition link/upload.

    • We will assume you are a local LA hire unless you tell us otherwise when you submit your audition video

    • As of now, it looks as though the Ensemble contracts we need to recast will need to be non equity (the actors we need to recast from the 2020 cast were non equity)

  • 1/3 11:45am

    • When emailing, please be specific re: which show and role you are reaching out about. It helps to keep us organized here :)

    • Spread the Word: Our goal is to present this opportunity to all who are interested, so please feel free to share our site with anyone you feel should know about the production. Thank you!

  • 1/2 5:30PM

  • PARENTS AND KIDS:

So looking forward to seeing lots of familiar AND new faces for this! I know that you all want to do your very best, but it's strongly recommended that you NOT coach your kids with this material (vocal coaching okay, but not the sides). I will be looking at all of the videos and promise that it is much better to keep it unrehearsed. I will absolutely reach out with any adjustments and notes. Run lines with them for sure, but leave the rest up to us. We are looking for real kids with heart and smarts. Enjoy and my sincerest thanks for sharing your little (and not so little) ones with us.

  • EMAIL ISSUES:

    • We are trying to resolve email issues STILL. We are receiving all emails, but ours are sometimes still ending up in spam folders, so please continue to check your spam. Thank you!!

  • FAQ:

    • With very few exceptions, this cast will be LA based. Please let us know, in advance, if you do not have LA housing.

    • There will be Equity and Non Equity Contracts

    • EMC points will be given

    • We will start with Video Auditions (see below for available details) and then have live callbacks in March

    • Our door is open to all. You are more than welcome to submit video for any open roles. We will be using Eco Cast to share videos amongst the Creative Team, so please submit yourself via Breakdown Services and then email directly info@Florescasting.com  to be added to our invite list. Although this is our preferred way to share videos, if this is too confusing, please see below (Audition Videos) and submit the requested material directly video@Florescasting.com
